Our rules are designed to promote clean and fair racing in the league. In short, driving cleanly means no
contact with other cars, and no corner cutting or track extending to gain time. We understand that
accidents and mistakes can happen, but as a driver in our league, you are required to do your very best
to ensure clean racing at all times. The rules also include guidelines for general behaviour, connectivity
and league participation.
Rules and Regulations
Session Settings:
Lobby size - 22 Players this includes the 2 commentators how this will be locked down to the amount of people in the lobby by 8pm GMT.
Practice - None
Qualifying - Full Qualifying however will be changed to short qualifying if there is less then 13 drivers.
Weather - Dynamic
Start Time - Official
Race Settings:
Parc Ferme Rules- Off, this is due to the set up glitch otherwise it would be on.
Collisions - On
Vehicle Damage - Full
Ghosting - Off, there is 2 tracks where it is turned on Baku and Monaco.
Car Setup - Full
Car Performance - Equal
Safety Car - On
Rules and Flags - On
Corner Cutting - Strict

Race Starts - Manual
Tyre Temperature - Surface & Carcass (Simulation)
Driver Assists:
Braking Assist - Off
ABS - On, Drivers can use off if they wish.
Traction Control - On, same as ABS drivers can use what ever setting they wish.
Automatic Gear Box - Automatic, Drivers can use manual if they wish.
Pit Assist - Off
Pit Release Assist - Off
Dynamic Racing Line - Full, Drivers can use which ever setting they wish.
ERS - Automatic, however we encourage our drivers to run manual.
Race Starts:
Once you have loaded into the race lobbies you are not to ready up before the lobby host/designated personnel, this is to give all drivers a chance to change strategies and to be able to have a drink before the race starts. If you ready up before the lobby host/designated personnel then you will get a race ban.
*THIS EXTENDS TO ANY LOBBIES THAT NEED TO BE RESTARTED, REASONS WILL BE DISCLOSED BY MANAGEMENT IF AND WHEN THESE OCCUR, BUT, all Drivers MUST ensure they start on the same tyre in which they used in the original Qualifying session [Q2] if enough for Full Qualifying rules, and failure to do so, will result in a 10 second time penalty.
Also we ask all drivers to be cautious on the first lap or so as lobby lag tends to be a thing and we don't want drivers out on lap 1, just remember the race is not won at turn 1 or even on lap 1.
Punctuality and Attendance:
When joining Another Level we expect you to be committed to racing every week on the day that your division races, which will be either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. We understand that there will be times that you can not race due to personal reasons and that's fine just make sure you let us know by 6.30pm on your race day. If you do not tell us by this time you will be giving a DNS (Uniformed)
So what do we mean by a DNS (Uniformed)?
A DNS (Uniformed) is a Did Not start, with out giving us a valid reason. If you get 2 of these in a row then you will lose you seat and be dropped to a reserve until you can prove that you are fully committed to the league. If you give us a valid reason then it will just go down as a DNS which will not count towards you losing your seat.
What do we class as a valid and non-valid reason?
Examples of a valid reason is that you have to work or have a family emergency. An example of a non-valid reason is I CBA or I'm watching the football.
What if I am running late?
If you are running late then please let us know by 7pm on the race day, we would prefer to start our lobbies at 8pm on the dot however we are willing to wait till 8.05pm at the latest, if you are running later then that we will leave a space open in the lobby for you to join however you will miss out on qualifying. If you don't let us know before we start the lobby then the lobby will be locked down and you will not be able to join, meaning you miss out on that weeks race all together.
Penalties:
The stewards have a variety of penalties that may be applied to punish drivers who break our racing rules, [this covers covering suitable tyres, ie not fitting wets on a dry track] depending on the severity of the violation. The available penalties are sorted below, in order of severity. Breaking a rule also leads to penalty points being added to your name - see further down for more details. (Note that penalties may be added together in the event of multiple violations in a race, which could result in total time penalties of a higher number than what is suggested below)
● 5-second time penalty
● 10-second time penalty [usually given for incorrect tyres]
● 15-second time penalty
● 20-second time penalty (or higher)
● Qualifying ban for the next race (may also be applied in place of a time penalty if the driver did not finish the race)
*IF A DRIVER HAS BEEN ISSUED A QUALIFYING BAN, THEY ARE NOT PERMITTED TO TAKE PART IN QUALI BY AN MEANS, OR GAIN ANY DATA ON TRACK CONDITIONS AHEAD OF THE RACE. THEY MUST RETIRE AS SOON AS THEY LOAD INTO THE SESSION.
● Disqualification from the race
● One-race ban [for either combined incidents, readying up on the grid before lobby host for example].
● Multiple-race ban
● Permanent removal from the league
Any penalties will be aimed at the person who has done wrong - we cannot compensate anyone else as a result of someone's actions. All penalties applied, are for that specific league and are not transferable. All penalties are discussed by the Stewards Panel (consisting of the members of the F1 Coordinating Team from all platforms) before being issued and the driver will always be informed of the outcome. The Stewards Panel is completely neutral and will not include anyone who may be affected by the incident in question.
Penalty points system:
The penalty points system is a way of keeping track of a driver's record of breaking the rules of clean racing, and to more severely punish repeat offenders. Penalty points will be applied alongside normal race penalties, as per the list below.
● 5 points - Driving dangerously or unsportingly
● 5 points - Causing a minor avoidable collision
● 10 points - Causing a moderate avoidable collision
● 15 points - Causing a major avoidable collision
● 5-15 points - Excessively abusing the track limits (depending on severity)
● 7.5 penalty points for retiring on track but staying in session
● 10 penalty points for leaving the session, having retired in pits, without a valid reason
● 15 penalty points for leaving the session, whilst still on track, without a valid reason (can cause a Safety Car)
● 20 penalty points for crashing on track on purpose (can cause a Safety Car)
● 50 points - Deliberately crashing into another driver
If you accumulate 25 points, you will be awarded a qualifying ban.
If you accumulate 40 points, you will be awarded a one-race ban.
If you accumulate 50 points, your league position will be put under review, with the likely outcome of being removed from the league.
Penalty points will usually be reset ahead of a new season.
Reprimand system:
While the race penalties and penalty points system are mainly aimed at dealing with on-track issues, the reprimand system deals with issues that may occur off the track.
It's simple - if you receive 3 reprimands, you're out. Receiving 3 reprimands would also see you placed on the blacklist (see section 6.5 for info about the blacklist).
You can receive a reprimand for the following:
● No-showing a race without giving prior notice to the League Coordinator
● Showing abusive behaviour towards another driver, either in the race lobby or on the forum
● Re-joining the lobby during the race while the re-joining rule is in effect
Note that if we encounter situations where someone's behaviour gets completely out of hand and is extremely serious, a ban may be applied directly regardless of reprimands accumulated.
Blacklist:
The blacklist contains the names of drivers who have been removed from the leagues - either through accumulating 50 penalty points or 3 reprimands - and drivers who have left the leagues during an ongoing season with no good reason.
● Drivers who are placed on the blacklist may be given a second chance in the future, but only after sitting out the rest of the season they were blacklisted from or depending on the circumstance, the following season (so a driver blacklisted in Season 14 may be given a second chance in Season 16, for example).
● Drivers who are placed on the blacklist again after having been given a second chance will be placed on the blacklist permanently. No further chances will be given.
● Drivers who have been blacklisted for deliberate crashing, cheating/hacking, or other extreme offences will be immediately placed on the permanent blacklist and not be given a second chance.
Note that the coordinators reserve the right to modify any parts of this thread during the season if necessary, in which case an update will be posted in the updates & notices thread
Lag Incidents:
We understand that lag may occur now and then, it can not be helped with player to player lobbies, however we ask all driver to record any lag they see from drivers as it may be a consistent problem for some drivers. During a race you may get a message from one of the commentators saying you have been black flagged and you must retire, you are to do so otherwise you will be given a race ban for the next race.
If you are a driver that consistently has lag issue in a lobby you will be given a chance to improve it before the next race. If after the next race you are still laggy throughout the race you will be dropped to a reserve driver until you have improved your internet and it has been tested by a member of the Another Level team, if this is the case you will need to ask us to test your internet at which point we will let you know when that test will happen, the test will happen when we are available not when you snap your fingers.
How do I report an incident:
Reporting an incident is simple, if you are involved in an incident or see something you see something you believe the stewards should see, we ask that you record it via the Xbox record that feature and then send it to our league owner M4ccie via Xbox messages, who will forward it to the stewards. We do it this way as then the stewards are not know and can not receive abuse from the drivers. Also please remember NO VIDEO EVIDENCE MEANS WE CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE INCIDENT.
Is there a time limit to report an incident?
There is a time limit of 24 hours after the race has finished to make a stewards enquiry for an incident you have been involved in or witnessed during the race. If any new rule violations come to light through videos released after this time, it is still possible to report this, but only if this violation is something that would not have been visible to other driver(s) in the race at the time it happened.
General Rules:
General Racing Rules - In Another Level we expect all driver to be clean and respectful to all other members at all times. If at any point you feel someone has not been either of these to you then we ask that you take the appropriate evidence, whether that be a clip or a screenshot and report it to a member of our team.
NO CLIPS IN GROUP CHATS.
ANOTHER LEVEL will not tolerate or accept the use of clips in group chats, AT ANY POINT. If you have been seen to have done this, the penalties will be as followed: 1st offence = 15 Second Time Penalty. 2nd offence will result in Qualifying ban. The third offence will result in a race ban, and 4th [or more] WILL lead to a REST OF SEASON BAN.
ARE WE ALLOWED TO UTILISE GROUP CHATS DURING A RACE SESSION?
While a race session has proceeded past the lobby, we do not tolerate use of group chats by any means [other than admin letting them know if there's a lobby restart etc]. Reasons for this is it can become distracting to drivers, and if you are caught messaging in session, then the following penalties will be implemented. 1st offence, 15 second time penalty. 2nd offence will be a qualifying ban, The third offence will result in a race ban, and any further offences will result in suspension for the rest of the season.
What behaviour do we expect from you when we are not racing?
When you are not racing we still expect you to be respectful to all drivers and members of our team. this mean no racism, no sexism, no bully of any kind, no inappropriate language and no looking down on someone because of their skill level. This are just examples of things we will not except within our league.
What do we expect from all drivers in qualifying?
During Qualifying we expect all drivers to be aware of other drivers around them. This means giving space, if you are not on a lap and someone behind looks like they are safely move out of the way and do so off of the racing line. If you are on a lap and someone behind is catching you do not have to move out of the way, you have the right to be there, it is the job of the car behind to make sure they have enough room to do their lap without catching you. If you believe you have been blocked on a lap then please record the incident and send it to M4ccie like you would with any other incident and the stewards will decide if a penalty is to be given.
Also during qualifying we do not allow corner cutting, to gain time to start a new lap if any of this is seen you will be given a penalty, you might even be given a qualifying ban if we believe it is excessive enough.
Formation lap:
During the formation lap we ask that all driver keep at a consistent speed we do not allow thing like stop start braking as it is classified as dangerous driving. We also ask that all drivers keep a sensible gap to the car behind, this is to avoid collisions happening as we do not want anyone being reset to the grid. we do allow weaving on the formation lap to warm up tyres as long as it is not done in a dangerous way, this rule is similar as how real life F1 allows weaving so please keep that in mind.
Safety car and VSC:
During a safety car we allow similar things as the formation lap, no sudden braking/pace changes and keep a sensible gap to the car ahead of at least 2 car lengths, remember hitting another car will result in penalty.
If you are the lead car you are allowed to set the pace but please keep it sensible, do not go to slowly or do any sudden braking as it causes a constantina effect and could cause other drivers to get damage, if we see evidence of either of these we will give you a penalty and if it continues you will get a some form of ban depending on how extreme it is.
During a VSC we expect all drivers to stick to the delta if you do not you will get an in game penalty, which we will not remove so please keep that in mind.
Are we allowed to pause/go AI?
During our session we understand there are times where your car will go into AI, for example when you are recording a clip. However we do not allow drivers to pause the game intentionally, for example pausing the game so it controls you pit or to get the AI to get you through a section of track like the castle session around Baku. If you are caught doing this you will get a penalty, which will more then likely end up being a DSQ from the race and a next race ban. If you continue pausing the game you will be removed from the league for the rest of the season and possibly longer if we deem it necessary.
Re-joining the track:
If for what ever reason you end up off track you must re-join the track safely, making sure the part of the track you are joining is clear. If you re-join and you end up blocking another car or give another driver damage you will be given a penalty that the stewards decide are necessary.
Quitting the race:
If you do have to retire your car during the race, you MUST drive back to the pit lane and retire your car while in the pits. This is to avoid major issues such as your AI car slowing down or parking in a dangerous place on track, or an unnatural safety car being triggered.
Are you allowed to stream your point of view?
ALL DRIVERS ARE PROHIBITED FROM STREAMING THEIR POV OF RACES, this is to improve connect ability, and if any driver is caught streaming their races, then they will be asked to retire, or with failure to do so, WILL result in Disqualification from event. In the event of multiple breaches of this rules, multi race bans, OR league exclusion will occur.
Are you allowed to watch the stream while racing?
We don't not allow people racing to watch the stream while racing as it can effect drivers connections, we do not care how good your internet is this rule is for everyone to follow.
Racing etiquette:
We expect all drivers to leave other driver at least a cars width when they are side by side, this means when the other driver has their car at least halfway up alongside your car before the turn in point then you must leave room. If you don't leave the correct space you will be given a time penalty, unless we believe it was intentional at which point you will be given a race ban.
Moving while racing:
When defending a position during a race you can only move once, once you have moved you can not do so again and you have to stick to that line. Although we allow you to move once, moving in the braking zone is not permitted and doing so will result in a penalty. Also if you move and you cause the other driver damage you will also be given a penalty as the is classified as cutting another driver up which is not allowed.
When attacking for a position you have to keep it clean this means you are to avoid contact when going for your move. In another Level we do allow dive bombs as long as you keep it clean, if you make a dive bomb and it is not kept clean you will be given a time penalty depending on the severity of the move. When you are following the other car you are to be careful into braking zones as not every driver will brake at the same point, as the following driver it is your job to avoid hitting the car ahead, however this does not mean the car ahead can brake check/brake too early as that will mean they will be the ones receiving the penalty.
If you have any questions related to anything here please message a member of our staff and we will be happy to give to more information, we look forward to seeing you out on track.
*****Each and every driver are subject to reviews regarding pace, i.e. if someone is winning every week by over half a minute, then they are likely to be considered too quick for a tier, and promotion will occur, also if someone is getting lapped each race [multiple times] then that driver will be considered for a drop in divisions, but many things can be discussed and reviewed regarding these examples. **Any attempts to 'Sandbag' to drop a division if a driver feels they aren't competitive will be treated harshly, and removal from the league CAN occur.
Note that the coordinators reserve the right to modify any parts of this thread during the season if necessary, in which case an update will be posted in the updates & notices thread.
